The Dolomites: hiker’s delight

One step from the sky!

Set off on an active holiday in South Tyrol to conquer the Dolomite peaks! The local Plose mountain is a stone's throw from Gasserhof and offers countless trails of varying degrees of difficulty. For every hike, the highlight is always the same: a stop at one of the many mountain huts where you can eat typical South Tyrolean dishes. Of course, you can enjoy this experience not only on the Plose, but also in Val Pusteria, Valle Isarco and all the side valleys: an open invitation to explore nature. And, with the BrixenCard, you can use all public transport for free. Come and enjoy an unforgettable stay at Gasserhof and touch the beauty of the Dolomites.

WoodyWalk on the Plose

Our tip for families: Here walking becomes fun even for the little ones! Along the trail there are numerous attractions that invite you to play and rest: the Campane lake, the telephone of the forest, the climbing tree, the kneipp path where fresh water flows, the giant lounger and much more ...

The Plose peak

Our advice for those who want an awe-inspiring view: From the mountain station of the Plose cable car, you can easily reach the Plose, which enchants with an incredible view of the Isarco Valley and the Dolomites. About a 60-minute-walk away, you will find Mount Telegrafo, a natural viewing platform. From here you can admire the Zillertal Alps, the Dolomites, the Brenta Group in the south and the Ortles Group in the west. A real lookout that gives the hiker an overview of the surrounding peaks.
